Idun is the Norse goddess of the spring and eternal youth. She is the keeper of the golden apples that grant the gods their eternal youth. She is married to Bragi, the god of poetry. In a famous myth, she is kidnapped by the giant Thjazi, causing the gods to age. Loki is forced to rescue her, transforming into a falcon and bringing her back to Asgard, restoring the gods' vitality.
